How to Experience Jesus’ Presence and Find Real Transformation

If you’re a parent, you know what this is like. Your little one is learning to sleep in their own room. (Or you might have distant memories of this yourself.) The room is dark. You wake up from a bad dream and you’re scared. Monsters are coming out from under the bed. You start crying, maybe screaming.
Then mom walks in, turns on the light, and picks you up. Suddenly everything is different. The monsters are gone. Your little heart calms and your body relaxes. It’s not a bunch of new information that calms you; it’s your mom’s presence that changes everything.
For some, that’s not such a distant memory. Monsters still come out at night. And perhaps you didn’t have a mom who came in and soothed you. And just in case you’re a parent who is feeling self-contempt right now, that’s not what we’re talking about. I’m making the point that it’s not information that changes your inner world; it’s the presence of one who cares for you.
Your neurological system has grown up (or has it?), but your basic wiring is the same. New information is woefully inadequate to heal and transform your inner world. It’s the presence of someone – Someone – who can change things.
Experience Jesus’ Presence
As important as information about God is, such information does very little to change the neural pathways in your brain, heal your soul, and bring your heart to the state of wholeness that you were created for. It’s the presence of the One who created you, who loves you, and who has never stopped pursuing you.
When Jesus was here on earth things changed when He showed up. Jesus shows up on the scene and blind eyes see, deaf ears hear, lame legs walk, broken hearts are mended, oppressed souls are set free, even dead things come to life.
And it’s the same for us today. God rarely works by telehealth; in the person of Jesus through His Holy Spirit He invites you to invite Him IN. It’s in that kind of intimacy, when you experience Jesus’ presence, that transformation happens.
When Jesus was here on earth some people couldn’t get to Him themselves; they had to be brought. Sometimes we need that kind of help today. His presence and healing is always available, but sometimes our neurological systems simply must have a pathway, a guide, a human presence serving as “God with skin on” to help us experience Him.
And that’s exactly what happens at a Dr. Carol Ministries intensive at our beautiful property Transformation Place.
If you’re doing fine on your own, my plea to you is to stay close to Jesus. Invest daily in soaking in His presence, letting Him into the deep places in your soul. You’re leaky; you need Him to be with you, to fill you, every day. Don’t stop.
And if you’re not doing fine on your own, we can help.
Your Transformation Place
The place in you that has hungered for intimacy and connection, that has longed to be seen and known, is where we get wounded most deeply. Your sexual story holds the answers to so much of why you feel stuck and broken now. And it also holds the keys to where you can experience real healing and lasting transformation.
A Dr. Carol Ministries intensive provides a safe and private small-group environment where you can explore and process the hard places in your story, and then experience Jesus’ presence coming right into the middle of your story to bring healing and transformation. While an intensive includes some teaching/information, it’s heavily focused on experiences and exercises that help you integrate the physical, emotional, and spiritual parts of you as Jesus shows up in your story.
At an intensive you’ll be cared for in a luxurious premium setting in a beautiful healing location. You will find a pathway to explore your full story with honesty and compassion. Those who come often experience a lot of resistance prior to the intensive; feeling scared or overwhelmed is common. But at the end of the 4 days, they don’t want to leave!
If you are feeling stuck, carrying brokenness, and are ready for a breakthrough, join us at an upcoming intensive. And if you know someone who needs this, share this with them.
Come experience Jesus’ presence in your story.
